Some conversations start casually and end up meaning a lot more than you expected.
That was the case with Luxoft. A global technology company, part of DXC Technology, with operations across Europe, North America, and Asia — and a decision on the table to establish their first office in Egypt. Not a satellite. Not a temporary setup. A real, permanent base in a market they believed in.
They needed someone who understood Egypt the way they understood software: precisely, seriously, and without cutting corners. That someone was Tayf.
The brief behind the brief
On the surface, the ask was straightforward. Find a space. Design it. Fit it out. Hand it over on time.
But the real brief was bigger than that. Luxoft was making a statement with this office — to their clients, to their recruits, and to the Egyptian market. The space had to feel like them: collaborative, modern, and built for people who think for a living. Getting that wrong was not an option. Getting it right meant understanding what Luxoft stood for before touching a single floor plan.
Finding the right location
The search led us to Mivida, New Cairo. A development that matched the calibre Luxoft operates at: accessible, well-managed, and the kind of address that signals seriousness.
We knew the area. We knew what the lease terms should look like. And we knew how to negotiate them on Luxoft’s behalf so they could focus on what they do best rather than getting pulled into landlord conversations. The location was not chosen because it was available. It was chosen because it was right.
Building something that felt like Luxoft
The design brief was clear: a space that promotes collaboration without sacrificing focus. Modern aesthetics. A layout that reflects a technology company’s way of working. Nothing generic, nothing that could belong to anyone else.
Our team handled design and fit-out end to end — from the initial concept to the final handover. Every decision was tested against one question: would Luxoft’s team feel at home here?
We also had a timeline to hit. Luxoft could not afford operational disruption, and we did not plan to give them any. Regular communication, fast decisions, and a team that treated their deadline as our own.
When a global company plants its first flag somewhere, the people they trust to build that space are part of the story.
— Tayf EditorialA first in Egypt
When Luxoft moved in, it was more than a project delivered on time. It was a company establishing itself in a new country for the first time — and choosing Tayf to help them do it right.
That responsibility is not lost on us. We are glad to be part of Luxoft’s Egypt story. And we are glad they trusted us to get it right from day one.
