02 — The Tayf Approach Philosophy · Operating Model · Team

How we think
about building.

Tayf Egypt is a holding and operating group focused on building long-term businesses across hospitality, food & beverage, real estate, and experience-driven concepts. The Tayf approach reflects how we think about building: not as advisors or service providers, but as long-term operators shaping businesses that are used daily and strengthened over time.

01 — Our Intent

Building businesses that sit naturally within people's daily lives.

To build companies that people return to, rely on, and grow with.

Tayf was created to build businesses that sit naturally within people's daily lives. We focus on sectors where space, hospitality, and culture intersect — areas that require more than capital to succeed.

These businesses demand operational depth, design clarity, and a long-term commitment to relevance.

02 — Core Principles

Five operating beliefs that shape everything we build.

Principle 01

Operator-Led
by Design

Tayf is built around active ownership and hands-on operation. We don't invest passively or operate from a distance. Our teams are involved in shaping strategy, operations, governance, and growth across the businesses we build.

Principle 02

Brands Before
Assets

We believe strong brands create more durable value than assets alone. Across our platforms, brand is treated as an operating system that influences customer behavior, pricing power, retention, and long-term performance.

Principle 03

Experience as
Infrastructure

At Tayf, experience is not an add-on — it is part of the foundation. We develop experience-driven concepts that reinforce how our brands and spaces are used. They are designed to scale through relevance, not volume.

Principle 04

Local Understanding,
Scalable Systems

Tayf builds in-market, informed by local behavior, culture, and demand. At the same time, we design systems that allow what works to be repeated — operational standards, shared platforms, and transferable knowledge.

Principle 05

Durability
Over Speed

We prioritise resilience over rapid expansion. Growth at Tayf is measured by repeat usage, operational stability, brand trust, and long-term relevance — not by how quickly we can scale headcount or locations.

03 — Boundaries

What we choose not to be.

Clarity is as much about boundaries as ambition. We build, operate, and grow our own platforms — allowing our work to speak for itself.

A consulting or advisory firm.
A short-term investment vehicle.
A service provider for hire.
04 — Behind Tayf

The group is led by its founder and operating partners.

Founder's Note
Mohamed Samy Founder & CEO · Tayf Egypt

What we build, we operate.
What we operate, we own.

Building Tayf started with a simple frustration. Egypt had the demand, the culture, and the appetite for world-class hospitality and workspace experiences. What it lacked was operators willing to build them with the same discipline you'd expect anywhere else.

My background is in experience design, not finance. That shapes everything about how Tayf thinks, from how a coffee bar is laid out to how a flex office earns tenant loyalty. We started with one brand and have been building from there, one operating business at a time.

The best businesses are built by people who can't imagine doing anything else.
